Tips for working from mobile
If you're used to doing a lot of work from your phone, you're in luck - you can access our community and run your events from your mobile device! However, if you do have access to a computer, we recommend you do this training from there. That's because some of your initial setup - such as working with Project Broadcast Landing Pages - is much easier from a computer.
There are three tools involved here, so let's get this straight first:
- Project Broadcast (not run by us) is your application for creating Landing Pages, storing contact info, and (on a paid plan) sending text messages. If using, you should download the PB mobile app. Be sure to enable notifications so you see when someone messages you. However, the PB mobile app doesn't have full functionality. If needed, you can always go to the desktop version of the Project Broadcast website on your mobile device's browser to access full functionality.
- Sparkhub: This is the actual Sparkhub application that you're learning about! It's accessed at my.sparkhub.app with the login you created when you first joined.
- Sparkspace: this is our community and learning space at sparkhub.app/community. It's an entirely separate system from the Sparkhub app, and you access it using a separate login (do not let your device auto-fill your my.sparkhub.app login). If you would just like to have a handy icon on your mobile device to take you to Sparkspace in your phone's browser, you can create a mobile shortcut that will open sparkhub.app/community. (Here’s how to make a mobile shortcut: Android and iPhone.)
- Sparkspace contains a link to the Sparkhub app, so you can use it as your home base for all things Sparkhub: the community, the learning, meetups, template center, AND accessing the Sparkhub app!
Note that Sparkhub is a web-based application. We have not created a specific mobile app for Sparkhub, so you won't see Sparkhub in your app store. If we were to create a mobile app, it would basically behave just like the Sparkhub web app already does 😀 The functionality is all there as a web-based app rather than a mobile app.
Finally, remember that on mobile screens, you sometimes have to select a "hamburger" (three lines) icon in order to expand and see a menu of options.
