I'm having trouble logging into my Host Portal
If you're having trouble accessing your Host Portal, here's some info that may help.
How it works
- The person you're planning your event with (eg, your Consultant) sets up the event with you listed as the Host, including your email address, which you'll use to log in.
- You'll access the Portal at my.sparkhub.app, where you can see a list of any Sparkhub events you're hosting, or at the event-specific portal url (eg, my.sparkhub.app/h/abc123).
- The Consultant will send an email to inform you that a Host Portal is ready for you.
- You'll follow a link in that email: either a one-time-use link to set a password (if you're a first-time user) or to log in directly to your event's Host Portal (if you have already established a password).
Troubleshooting
I didn't receive an email informing me of a Host Portal.
- Check that your consultant has your email address correct and that they sent the Portal to you.
- The email comes from your Consultant's email account. It may be in a junk, spam, promotions, or updates folder. Alternatively, they can look in their Sent folder to get the link to you.
- If all else fails, you actually don't need the email to get in; you can go to my.sparkhub.app and click the "forgot password?" link to set a new password. Password resets come from the address admin@sparkhub.app.
I received the email about my Host Portal, but couldn't get in with the link.
- Is it your first time hosting a Sparkhub-supported event? Make sure you are clicking the link in the email to set up a password.
- Note: if you are also a Sparkhub subscriber at the same email address being used as the host of another event, you'll log in with your normal Sparkhub credentials. Use the event-specific Host Portal link to access it (eg, my.sparkhub.app/h/eventid).
- Check that you've entered your email address correctly. It should match the account where you received the email.
- You can also go to https://my.sparkhub.app/resetpassword to "reset" your password, even if you haven't previously established one.
I tried the "forgot password?" link but it says "No account found with this email."
- Double check that you entered your email correctly. If it was filled in via an autofill feature on your device, make sure it is the right one.
- Check with your consultant that the email you're attempting to use is an exact match with your Contact info that they entered in the Host settings of your Event. Did they have a typo?
I tried the "forgot password?" link and submitted it successfully, but the email didn't arrive.
- The email comes from admin@sparkhub.app. It may be in a junk, spam, promotions, or updates folder.
I tried the "forgot password? link and got an email to reset my password, but the link didn't work.
- Did you attempt a password reset more than once? If so, make sure you use the password reset link in your most recent email. Others will be outdated if you clicked to reset your password again. Keep in mind that emails may take a couple of minutes to arrive.
